Echoes of Tamria: Puppets and Cobwebs (working title)
(Working Map and Capture)
REDO! Myst is a tiny, flat world floating in space, and all the inhabitants of it's one town, The Valley, have lived normal lives free and alone in the universe. Benjamin Raine, too, lived in The Valley, and he too has believed he was just a normal kid stuck in a normal world. Alone. But that was never true. A hidden doorway once lead them to other worlds – once kept others out. That is until now.
When Ben's father disappeared, and then other strange things began to happen in The Valley, Ben begins a search for answers. Benjamin doesn't remember Tamria, but he was there once, and he is destined to return and confront The Unnamed, an ancient spirit of fear and hunger that has been slowly poisoning Myst, Tamria, and all of the Five Gates. The Unnamed seeks to consume all life, to be all life, and she has been searching for Benjamin Raine.
Benjamin struggles to tell what are his choices and those of his destiny as he walks deeper and deeper into a strange dangerous world filled with hardship, betrayal, and loss, where he has to put his own life, and the lives of those he loves, in mortal jeopardy. The influence of The Unnamed threatens to confuse Ben from his path, prevent him from finding the fading All Mother, and discovering the truth of his lineage and the only thing that can stop the The Unnamed and her hunger.

For me: all creative works are like cultivating a garden. Sometimes you plant a tomato, and it grows tall, sturdy, and bares the most beautiful delicious purple eggplants you've ever seen! Not that you thought you'd end up with eggplants, or that they'd taste like spiced apples, but they're super tasty, and who wouldn't be proud of a spiced-apple eggplant - providing it was created from magical realism and not genetic modification or toxic mutation. Well, I do like killer food and forward-thinking corporations resting on the backs of "non-corporate entities" (their designation for people who don't matter), but I'm a writer.
